Luke Hackworth

Founder/Director Roboticist/Electrical Engineer

Luke Hackworth graduated from Electrical Engineering in 2012. His Honours Thesis was the design of a low-cost 3D printed mind controlled prosthetic hand for amputees.

After graduation, Luke continued to teach at the University of Newcastle while also developing medical and health technologies. He was lured away from his academic life in early 2016.

Lewis Quill

Founder/Director Electrical Engineer

Lewis graduated in 2015 obtaining a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering. Lewis has a gift for electrocuting himself, so his Honours Thesis was on the construction of a musical Tesla coil.

His success in its construction and miraculous survival are a testament to his skill at power engineering and surviving potential differences.

Levi Weitenberg

Founder Physicist/Computer Engineer

Levi graduated in 2015 obtaining a combined Bachelor's of Science (Physics) and Computer Engineering. He did a combined Honours Degree on the development of an autonomous drone robot that could work together to complete farming tasks.

These days he spends most of his time working on lessons and answering the weird physics questions that Lewis poses.

Electrical Engineer

Clinton graduated from UoN with a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering. He did his Honours Thesis using GPU computing to simulate the chemical mechanism of heart cells.

He started as an intern at Obelisk in 2016 designing the Wi-Fi Setup application for the StarLAB and is now working on web based applications for the StarLAB.

Jenna-Maree Hackworth

Teacher

Jenna-Maree is a secondary school teacher who has taught in both public and private schools in the Newcastle and Maitland Region. She has a Bachelor's in Fine Art and a Masters in Teaching (Secondary).

Jenna-Maree currently teaches Mathematics and Science to Year 9 and 10 students in the Hunter area and uses the StarLAB to engage her students in STEM education.

Agatha

Mascot/Rover/Hero to us all

Agatha is the first Rover to be built in house at Obelisk Systems, since her creation she has been traveling the country with the team meeting teachers, students and enthusiests.

She loves to make new friends and help them learn how to code. If you would like to meet Agatha contact us to find out where whe will be visiting or arrange to have her come to your school.
